A weekly organizer is a calendar you can feel. You fill seven compartments once, and for the rest of the week the question “did I take it” is answered by looking at the lid for today. Everything on this page holds seven days and one dose each; what you are choosing is the lid and the depth. The classic snap lid is the cheapest and the thinnest. The push-button lid opens under the side of a thumb, which matters on a morning when a fingernail will not do. The locking lid stays shut in a bag, and the stackable set splits into seven single-day boxes so one can go to work in a pocket.

Depth is the number people get wrong. A Small compartment takes a couple of tablets; a Large, the one most people end up with, holds a week of two or three; XL and 2XL are for a slot that has to close over a fish-oil capsule, a multivitamin and a couple of tablets at once. The 3XL is the box for a schedule with six or more items in it, and the embossed day letters on the lids read under a thumb as well as by eye. Every box here is BPA-free and the compartments on the Large and up come out for washing.

This page is general information about medication tools, not medical advice. Whether a tablet may be split or crushed, how much of a medicine to give and what to do about a missed dose are questions for the pharmacist who filled the prescription and the doctor who wrote it.

Every size and colourway in this line is priced on its own; the Ezy Dose catalogue keeps the figures current and the till is what decides.

Questions about Ezy Dose weekly pill organizers

The box on the counter

Which Ezy Dose weekly organizer size holds your vitamins as well as your tablets?

Count what goes into one day. Two or three small tablets fit a Small or Medium; add a multivitamin and you want a Large; add a fish-oil capsule and a calcium tablet and you are in XL or 2XL. The 3XL holds up to sixty aspirin-sized tablets in a slot, which in practice means it closes over anything a pharmacist hands out.

Can you take the compartments out of an Ezy Dose weekly organizer to wash them?

On the Large and larger boxes, yes: each day lifts out so the tray can be rinsed and a single day can travel on its own. The Small and Medium are one moulded piece and are washed as a whole.

Will an Ezy Dose weekly organizer keep your children out?

No. A snap or push-button lid opens for a child as readily as for an adult, and the box belongs up and away and out of sight, the way the medicine did in its bottle. For a house with small children the locking pill container and the medication lockbox on the travel shelf are the ones with a lid that needs a code.
