Ezy Dose Pill Cutter

A cutter with a safety shield: a guard closes over the stainless-steel blade as the lid comes down, so a thumb never meets it. The tablet sits in a V-shaped cradle that centres round and oval shapes on the score line, and the halves drop into the compartment underneath.

For a drawer shared with other things, and for a hand that shakes, this is the cutter. It cuts; it does not decide. Extended-release and enteric-coated tablets are not split, and FDA says splitting is approved only where the label says so, so the pharmacist is the first stop and the cutter the second.
