The fob is for the tablet whose whole point is being on you: a nitroglycerin tablet, an antihistamine for a bee sting, a migraine tablet, a dose that matters in the ten minutes before you can get to a bathroom cabinet. It is an aluminium tube the length of a thumb with a screw cap and a rubber seal, on a split ring that goes where the car key goes, and it holds a few tablets dry through a week in a pocket. The silver one is the plain version; the coloured and gold-plated ones are the same tube in a finish that does not look like a pill holder.

Two of the fobs are worth naming on their own. The Nitro-Fresh keychain is built for nitroglycerin, which loses potency in air and light, with a seal tighter than the plain tube. The lockable fob bundle pairs a small and a large tube with a lock, for a house where a fob on a hook by the door would otherwise be a child’s find. The pocket pill caddy and the fashion pill case are the same purpose in a flat shape, for a pocket rather than a ring.

This page is general information about medication tools, not medical advice. Whether a tablet may be split or crushed, how much of a medicine to give and what to do about a missed dose are questions for the pharmacist who filled the prescription and the doctor who wrote it.

Every size and colourway in this line is priced on its own; the Ezy Dose collection keeps the figures current and the till is what decides.

Questions about Ezy Dose keychain pill fobs

The two tablets you must not be without

Is an Ezy Dose pill fob watertight enough for your pocket in the rain?

The screw cap closes on a rubber seal, and the tube keeps tablets dry through a wet coat pocket or a day at a pool. It is not rated for immersion, so it rides on the key ring rather than in the water.

How many of your tablets fit in an Ezy Dose keychain fob?

A handful of aspirin-sized tablets in the standard tube, fewer if they are capsules. The mini-container fob adds a second, smaller chamber, and the lockable bundle includes a large tube for a bigger dose.

Which Ezy Dose fob should you carry nitroglycerin in?

The Deluxe Nitro-Fresh keychain fob. Nitroglycerin degrades in air and light, and this fob seals more tightly than the plain tube so the tablets are still good when they are needed; it is still worth changing them on the schedule the pharmacist gives.
